Refund policy
KOWA accepts eligible return requests under its standard voluntary return policy within 7 calendar days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
Where applicable consumer law provides a longer cancellation, withdrawal, return, refund, or other statutory remedy, that legal right will apply instead. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
Return Eligibility
For KOWA's standard voluntary return policy, an item must be:
- Unworn other than reasonable try-on for fit
- Unwashed and unaltered
- In its original condition
- Free from damage, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- Returned with all original tags attached
- Returned with all components originally supplied with the item, including detachable pockets or modules where applicable
Please return the item in its original packaging where reasonably possible.
An order number or other proof of purchase may be required for KOWA's voluntary return process.
Where statutory withdrawal rights apply, customers may inspect an item only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, functioning, and fit. Where permitted by applicable law, reimbursement may be reduced if handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has diminished the item's value.
How to Start a Return or Cancellation
Request a Return or Cancel an Order
Customers can submit an eligible return or cancellation request through their KOWA customer account:
Sign in using the email address associated with your order and select the relevant order to submit your request.
You may also contact:
Please include:
- Your order number
- The item you wish to return or cancel
You may provide a reason for the request, but a reason is not required where applicable law gives you a right to withdraw or cancel without providing one.
We will provide return instructions and confirm the return address where necessary. Contacting KOWA or submitting a request through your customer account before shipment helps us identify and process the request and does not restrict any statutory cancellation or withdrawal right.
Returns are sent to:
KOWA
5F, 4-5 Hakdong-ro 17-gil
Gangnam-gu, Seoul 06050
Republic of Korea
A self-service cancellation request may be submitted for an eligible order before fulfillment. Availability of the cancellation function does not limit any statutory cancellation or withdrawal right that may apply separately.
European Union customers may use the KOWA customer-account return and cancellation function to exercise an applicable statutory right of withdrawal. Customers may also exercise a statutory withdrawal right by sending KOWA another clear statement communicating their decision to withdraw.
Where required by applicable law, KOWA will provide electronic acknowledgement of an electronic withdrawal or cancellation request on a durable medium, such as email.
Withdrawal / Cancellation Form
Customers exercising an applicable statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation may use KOWA’s withdrawal/cancellation form below.
VIEW WITHDRAWAL / CANCELLATION FORM →
Use of the form is not required where applicable law permits the customer to withdraw or cancel by another clear statement.
Return Shipping
For change-of-mind, fit, size, or preference-based returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying the direct cost of return shipping unless applicable law requires otherwise.
KOWA does not currently provide prepaid international return labels for change-of-mind returns.
We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and retaining proof of shipment until your return has been completed.
If an item is defective, damaged on arrival, incorrect, or materially different from its description or the agreed contract, KOWA will bear or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where required by applicable law.
Original outbound shipping charges are generally non-refundable except where reimbursement is required by applicable consumer law.
Where a statutory withdrawal or cancellation requires KOWA to reimburse outbound delivery costs, reimbursement will be limited to the cost of the least-expensive standard delivery option offered for the relevant order, where permitted by law. Additional amounts paid for expedited, premium, or upgraded shipping are not refundable beyond that amount.
For international returns, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or similar amounts paid directly by the customer to customs authorities, carriers, or other third parties are not refunded by KOWA unless applicable law requires otherwise. Customers may need to contact the relevant authority or carrier regarding any potential recovery of those amounts.
International return parcels must follow any customs instructions provided by KOWA and must be accurately identified as returned goods. Do not declare a return as a gift or provide inaccurate customs information.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order after delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from its description or the agreed contract, contact:
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and include your order number and photographs where relevant so that we can assess the issue.
Any statutory rights relating to defective, incorrect, damaged, or non-conforming goods remain unaffected by this policy. A request to contact KOWA promptly does not shorten any longer period provided by applicable law.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for KOWA's voluntary change-of-mind return policy:
- Items worn beyond reasonable try-on
- Washed or altered items
- Items damaged after delivery through customer handling or use
- Items missing original components or tags where this materially affects their condition or value
- Gift cards, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law
- Made-to-order, modified, or clearly personalized items where exclusion is permitted by applicable law
- Items expressly marked Final Sale, except where a return, refund, cancellation, withdrawal, repair, replacement, or other remedy is required by applicable law
A sale or discounted item is not excluded from mandatory consumer rights solely because it was sold at a reduced price.
Exchanges
KOWA does not currently offer direct exchanges.
If you require a different size or item, please return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a new order separately.
Availability of another size or product cannot be guaranteed.
South Korea Customers
Customers purchasing online in South Korea generally have a statutory right to withdraw from an eligible purchase within 7 days, subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by Korean law.
Where goods differ from their advertised description or the contract has been performed differently from what was agreed, withdrawal may be available within 3 months after the goods were supplied and within 30 days after the customer became aware, or could reasonably have become aware, of the issue, as provided by Korean law.
For an ordinary statutory change-of-mind withdrawal, the customer generally bears the direct cost of returning the goods.
Where the withdrawal results from goods being materially different from their advertised description or from the agreed contract, KOWA bears the return cost as required by Korean law.
For eligible statutory returns of goods, KOWA will refund the amount paid within 3 business days after receiving the returned goods, as required by Korean law.
Nothing in KOWA's standard voluntary return conditions limits any additional remedy available to a customer under Korean law.
European Union Customers
Eligible consumers in the European Union generally have a statutory right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days without providing a reason.
For goods, the withdrawal period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, receives the goods. Where multiple goods from the same order are delivered separately, the period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the last item is received.
The customer must notify KOWA of the decision to withdraw before the withdrawal period expires.
European Union customers may exercise this right using KOWA's electronic withdrawal function through the KOWA customer account or by sending another clear statement communicating the decision to withdraw.
The KOWA customer-account function is available at:
After notifying KOWA of the withdrawal, the customer must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying KOWA.
For an eligible statutory withdrawal:
- The customer bears the direct cost of returning the item to South Korea where KOWA informed the customer of that responsibility before purchase.
- KOWA will reimburse the product price and the cost of the least-expensive standard outbound delivery option offered for the order.
- Additional amounts paid for expedited, premium, or upgraded delivery do not have to be reimbursed beyond the cost of the least-expensive standard option.
- Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after KOWA is informed of the customer's decision to withdraw.
- Unless KOWA has offered to collect the goods, KOWA may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received back or until the customer provides acceptable evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
- Where permitted by law, KOWA may reduce the reimbursement to reflect diminished value resulting from handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
Where a withdrawal is submitted using KOWA's electronic withdrawal function, KOWA will provide acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium without undue delay as required by applicable law.
KOWA will provide or make available any model withdrawal form required by applicable European Union consumer law. Use of a model form is not required where the customer otherwise communicates a clear decision to withdraw.
United Kingdom Customers
Eligible consumers in the United Kingdom generally have a statutory right to cancel an eligible online purchase within 14 days without providing a reason.
For goods, the cancellation period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, receives the goods. Where multiple goods from the same order are delivered separately, the period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the last item is received.
The customer must communicate the decision to cancel before the cancellation period expires.
Customers may communicate their decision by contacting KOWA, using an applicable electronic cancellation function, using the model cancellation form made available by KOWA, or otherwise making a clear statement of their decision to cancel.
After notifying KOWA of cancellation, the customer must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying KOWA.
For an eligible statutory cancellation:
- The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods where KOWA informed the customer of that responsibility before purchase.
- KOWA will reimburse the product price and the cost of the least-expensive standard outbound delivery option offered for the order.
- Additional amounts paid for expedited, premium, or upgraded delivery are not refundable beyond the cost of the least-expensive standard delivery option.
- Where KOWA has not offered to collect the goods, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after KOWA receives the returned goods or, if earlier, receives acceptable evidence that the goods were sent back.
- Where permitted by law, KOWA may reduce the reimbursement to reflect diminished value resulting from handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining an item in a shop.
Where a customer submits an electronic cancellation statement through a function provided by KOWA, KOWA will acknowledge receipt on a durable medium without delay where required by applicable law.
KOWA will provide or make available the model cancellation form required by applicable United Kingdom consumer law. Customers do not have to use the model form if they otherwise make a clear statement communicating their decision to cancel.
Norway Customers
Eligible consumers in Norway generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for eligible distance purchases.
For goods, the withdrawal period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, receives the goods. Where multiple goods from the same order are delivered separately, the period generally ends 14 days after the day on which the last item is received.
The customer must notify KOWA of the decision to withdraw within the applicable withdrawal period.
The customer may exercise the right by using the standardized withdrawal form provided by KOWA or by making another unequivocal statement communicating the decision to withdraw.
Where KOWA provides an electronic method for communicating withdrawal, KOWA will confirm receipt on a durable medium where required by applicable law.
After notifying KOWA, the customer must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after providing notice of withdrawal.
For an eligible statutory withdrawal:
- The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods where KOWA informed the customer of that responsibility before purchase.
- KOWA will reimburse payments received, including the applicable standard outbound delivery charge, as required by Norwegian law.
- Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer choosing a more expensive delivery method than KOWA's standard delivery option do not have to be reimbursed.
- Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after KOWA receives notice of withdrawal.
- KOWA may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received or until the customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
- Where permitted by law, the customer may be responsible for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
KOWA will provide the standardized withdrawal form required by Norwegian consumer law. Customers are not required to use the form and may instead communicate another unequivocal statement of their decision to withdraw.
Refunds
Once a return is received, KOWA will inspect the item and notify the customer of the refund status where appropriate.
Where a mandatory statutory refund deadline applies, that deadline takes priority over KOWA's voluntary refund timetable.
For eligible South Korean statutory returns of goods, KOWA will process the refund within 3 business days after receiving the returned goods.
For eligible European Union, United Kingdom, and Norway statutory withdrawals or cancellations, KOWA will process reimbursements within the applicable statutory periods described above.
For approved voluntary returns that are not subject to a shorter mandatory refund deadline, KOWA aims to issue the refund within 10 business days after inspection.
Refunds will generally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed with the customer or permitted by applicable law.
KOWA does not charge a restocking fee for eligible returns.
Your bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider may require additional time to post the refund after KOWA has issued it.
